Lockring tools include a guide pin to ensure that your lockring tool is positioned perfectly straight on your cassette. The standard guide pin is 9 mm thick and compatible with all quick-release axles. For thru axles, which you will find on your disc brake wheels, the standard guide pin is too thin and cannot perform its function. That's why the GuidePin was designed. This 12 mm guide pin does exactly the same job for your lockring, but on your thru axle. The GuidePin is held securely in place by a magnet and placed over the standard guide pin of your tool. Ideal for the safe and correct use of your tools!
