MaxxTerra Compound

As a single-compound tire, the MaxxTerra rubber compound is the logical evolution of the previous 3C MaxxTerra, which featured a triple-compound design. Developed in the lab and perfected by team and test riders on trails around the world, it delivers more grip and longer durability while maintaining consistently low rolling resistance. In terms of numbers, tread life has been increased by 30% and grip by 15%. That means better performance and more riding enjoyment, and less time spent changing tires.  

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tires provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tire without the weight penalty. Maxxis TR tires use a standard casing and require the use of a liquid sealant in order to make them airtight. Maxxis Tubeless Ready tires are the only Maxxis tires approved for use with liquid sealants. 

EXO+ Protection

The structure of the EXO+ is fundamentally different from the previous. The construction consists of a 60 TPI carcass which is coated with an abrasion-resistant rubber. In the sidewalls is rubberized EXO puncture protection layer and above the bead was incorporated a narrow butyl insert. Tires with EXO+ Protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing.

Wide Trail (WT)

Traditional tires were developed for narrow rims, which is why they are too angular on wide rims and can therefore no longer offer optimum performance. In contrast, the Wide Trail design from Maxxis relies on a tread layout and a tire shape that is tailored to modern rims. WT tires are optimized for 30 mm rims, but also demonstrate their advantages perfectly with an inner rim width of up to 39 mm.
