MaxxSpeed - The new MaxxSpeed compound is clearly the best XC compound for XC racing. It is a high-silica compound that reduces rolling resistance while improving wet grip. Compared to the current 3C MaxxSpeed, rolling resistance is approximately 25% lower in lab tests (with the same tread pattern, tire construction, and air pressure). In race conditions, this theoretically results in a time savings of up to one minute over a 90-minute race. 

Tubeless Ready - Tubeless tires offer many advantages: You can ride with lower air pressure. This provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And without an inner tube, the risk of a flat tire is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for installation with tire sealant than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a true UST tubeless tire. This ensures that tubeless installation on all standard-sized rims is successful on the first inflation and with minimal sealant.

EXO Protection - This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the side walls of various mtb tires. It is tightly woven, lightweight, and highly flexible. As a result, the tires’ performance remains consistently impressive.
