This knit beanie is made from Second Cut™ yarn—a blend of recycled fibers sourced from Smartwool’s sock take-back program and production waste, as well as merino wool. The merino wool content provides temperature regulation, moisture management, and odor control, making this knit beanie perfect for commuting to work in cold weather, post-workout activities, or as everyday winter wear.

This item is part of the Second Cut™ project: Smartwool collects used clothing, shreds it into fibers, and processes these fibers together with new merino wool to create new yarn. This product, among others, is made from this yarn. The collected used clothing consists of a wide variety of materials. Therefore, the exact fiber composition of the recycled portion cannot be determined and varies from batch to batch.
