Mountain Equipment Baltoro Jacket Men ME-007986 - slate green
At first glance, the Baltoro looks just like any other down jacket, but its unique chamber construction makes it one of the highest-performing and most versatile jackets in our lineup. A proven jacket for demanding conditions in the mountains. Down jackets with narrow chambers are extremely lightweight and pack down small. However, quilted seams create cold spots through which heat is lost—the Baltoro overcomes this problem with its unique, 2-layer offset chamber construction, in which the chambers are staggered and a heat-reflective inner layer enhances thermal performance. With a slightly higher weight, it offers significantly better insulation, making it the perfect choice for multi-day ski tours, mountaineering, and climbing in cold conditions. The fit is just as important: With a protective, helmet-compatible hood and a high collar, the Baltoro maximizes your warmth even in exposed, windy conditions. The Baltoro packs down into its side bag to save space, fitting into even the smallest backpack or attaching to a harness using its loop.
