Hope Bottom Bracket Cups Stainless Steel PF46-73/83-30 (Wide)

High-quality, CNC machined aluminium external bottom bracket cups with double sealed stainless steel bearings.

The machined aluminium cups hold full stainless steel cartridge bearings in stainless races. These custom made bearings are double sealed and fully serviceable to offer a much greater life span than stock units. If they wear out eventually, they are replaceable. The bearings are made by INA and have been designed to run directly on the crank spindle, without the use of shims or spacers - again increasing life and reliability. Hope uses a non contact, free running labyrinth seal to protect the bearing externally, and the machined aluminium center tube is sealed internally with o-rings.

The Hope PF46 - 73 / 83 - 30 unit is only suitable for mountain bikes with 73 or 83 mm bb shell widths. The wide version measures a total width (installed including cups, bearings and seals) of 96,5 mm for the 73 mm version and 111 mm for the 83 mm version, fitting e.g. Hope and e*thirteen cranks with 30 mm hollow axles.
