Description of DT Swiss R 460 Road Rim - black

The jack-of-all trades of road rims: light, wide and with an ideal price/performance ratio. The R 460 works perfectly with wide tires and will deliver many unforgettable rides on the road thanks to its reliability. Furthermore it is tubeless ready.

A precise sleeve connects the profile. This guarantees optimum resistance against all occurring loads. Sleeve jointing is the best alternative to SBWT® welded rims.

The DT Swiss Wear Control® shows the extent of rim wear. It is compliant to the European standard.

Tubeless compatible rims can be converted for tubeless use with the help of a tubeless kit.

The rim is recommended up to 110 kg of system weight.

Customer Reviews
Bought as replacement rims (20H) for my Aksium wheels. ERD is 2mm shorter than the Aksium's original rims, but the fit is still nearly perfect. Could even keep the old spokes and everything went just fine.
Weight was spot on (461g and 462g). Spoke and valve holes were not very cleanly driven out and I had to remove some flash and had to do a little sanding on them to make them less sharp. But that's really no biggie, considering the price.
Looks, drives and brakes good with 25mm tyres.
The 8 rims I bought between September 2016 and January 2017 were all within the announced weight 455 to 462 gr. It was, at the time one of the best cost-benefit rims in the market. However, the last 8 rims bought between September and November 2018 were all between 481 and 492 gr. In the meantime, the model does not appear at the DT site anymore. Louzy! I wrote a complaint to DT Swiss.
R 460 non disc, delivery beginning 2017
Best cost-benefit you can find. Real weight of all the 4 I got, between 454 to 456 gr. Much better than the RR411, where the official weight is 435 gr and the real weight ended up at 455 to 460 gr and nobody tells you, not even in the site, that you have to use washers, which represent additional weight.
Ausgezeichnet, aber Herstellergewichtsangabe unsinnig.
Gewicht nachgemessen: 480g.

Ansonsten ordentlich stabil.
