The special adjustment knob allows for tool-less and quick adjustment of the proper pad-to-disc distance, even with worn brake pads. This possibility does not exist with hydraulic brakes. In addition, mechanical disc brakes can be combined with Avid's Speed Dial® levers for perfect tuning. The included Centerline brake disc is designed to keep the point of maximum friction on the disc constant, minimizing vibration and ensuring consistent and quiet performance.

Tri-Align™ Caliper Positioning System™.

Another original Avid technology that makes your life easier - a brake has never been easier to install and adjust. With Avid's Tri-Align™ Caliper Positioning System™, centering the caliper on the disc is literally a matter of seconds. Simply loosen the CPS™ screws a little, press the brake lever and tighten the screws again. Perfect alignment of the brake caliper in no time.

Compatibility:

The brake is compatible with all road bike brake levers as well as Shimano STI-, Campagnolo Ergopower-, as well as SRAM DoubleTap levers.

Please note the maximum allowable brake disc diameter of your fork and frame.
