A functional element is incorporated into the tight-fitting knitted fabric to relieve the insertion of the patellar tendon: a special pad with four nubbed pressure points that provide a soothing massage during movement. The inner pressure points provide additional guidance and support for the tendon under load. The outer pressure points primarily stimulate the area around the patellar tendon and have a positive effect on the knee's sensorimotor function.
