Shimano GRX - Explore beyond
Instead of telling gravel riders what they needed, Shimano asked them what they wanted for their offroad adventures. The result are the Shimano GRX components which represent the first series especially developed for riding on rough roads and through gravel. The Shimano GRX sets itself apart from the rest of the component world with its gravel specific ergonomics, optimized gearing options, rugged reliability as well as a quiet and stable drivetrain.

Shimano GRX ST-RX400 shift/brake lever
The Shimano GRX ST-RX400 dual control lever provides Gravel inspired ergonomics both for the bracket design to accommodate every kind of drop bar and for the lever itself featuring a curved shape and an anti-slip coating for greater mixed-terrain control. In terms of shifting performance the 2x10-speed GRX STI levers are at the same high level like Shimano's top tier group's road bike shifters. In contrast the braking performance is optimized by the brake lever's rotary axle which is positioned 18 mm higher than usual. In order to meet the individual needs of the driver, the hydraulic brake lever offers a tool-based reach adjustment as well.
Shimano GRX BR-RX400 disc brake caliper
Never hesitate to tackle rough surfaces with the hydraulic Shimano GRX BR-RX400 caliper. In doing so Ice Tech
ensure excellent heat dissipation while the BR-RX400's 2 pistons guarantee solid braking performance under all conditions. The Flat Mount system makes it possible to attach the disc brake caliper directly at frame or fork. Trouble-free and simple maintenance is provided by the proven One Way Bleeding
concept and the
Easy Hose Joint System
which simplifies brake hose exchanges.
Shimano GRX FC-RX600-10 crankset
Shimano's GRX cranks are designed to handle a wide variety of terrain and riding styles and feature a 2.5 mm wider chainline for more freedom in frame design and the use of wider tires.
The 2-piece GRX FC-RX600-10 crankset relies on a 2x10-speed drivetrain concept and offers the optimum gearing for every terrain and riding style thanks to Shimano's wide range of cassettes and sprocket ratios. The aluminium crank with a 46.9 mm chainline features a 46 to 30 teeth chainring ratio. The 4-arm chainrings which are made of aluminium as well are suitable for the use with Shimano HG 10-speed chains.
Shimano GRX FD-RX400 Down Swing front derailleur
With its total capacity of 16 teeth the Shimano GRX FD-RX810 front derailleur harmonizes perfectly with the FC-RX600 2x10 crankset. Of course, the front derailleur also adapts the 2.5 mm wider chain line of the GRX cranks which allows the use of wider tires. In addition, the FD-RX400 impresses with a natural shifting stroke feeling and its smooth-running functionality which is characterized by a very ergonomic power curve as well as the integration of a cable tension adjustment function.
Shimano GRX RD-RX400-GS Shadow RD+ rear derailleur
The mechanical Shimano GRX RD-RX400 rear derailleur is characterized by quiet, smooth, precise and reliable shifting even in the most demanding terrain. This is mainly due to the Shadow RD+ chain stabilisation system which prevents the chain from slapping and dropping as well as from unnecessary movements of the derailleur's cage, thus ensuring uninterrupted shifting performance. That is why an On/Off switch can be found next to the upper pulley, much like Shimano’s mountain bike derailleurs. When activated the rear derailleur pivot takes a firm hold to reduce excessive movement, noise and general "chain chatter". The 10-speed rear derailleur will accommodate cassettes with 11-32 teeth up to cassettes with 11-36 teeth.
