A Tube type tire is specifically designed for use with a tube and may not be used Tubeless. Confusion is not possible: All Pro One road tires are clearly labelled as "TLE" or "TUBE ONLY" tires.


During the intensive cooperation with top riders and junior athletes, Schwalbe discovered that road racing cyclists seek a tire that not only suits high speeds and rolls easily, but also offers maximum suppleness or ‚souplesse‘. A tire that rides like a tubular tire. A tire that swiftly and accurately responds to a cyclist’s individual riding style and provides sensitive feedback at all times. A tire with “life”. Logically, the extra suppleness of the Souplesse offers another advantage beside the unique feel. Cyclists do not fatigue as quickly. Consequently, this allows higher performance for longer periods of time. Of course, this can be scientifi cally proven in a test situation, but cyclists will be able to feel the difference themselves on the bike.


A totally new feel. Right from the start. The new Schwalbe Pro One is not just another development step from the status quo, but a completely new solution. Inorder to create a unique product, new avenues needed to be explored.


The goal was to develop a fast, light-weight and safe tire, with the additional feature of maximum souplesse. A tire which sets new benchmarks.



Turn-up construction - this is what makes the tire so supple and comfortable. Riding this tire feels just like the velvety motion of a classic tubular tire.


The liner is made of a specifi cally developed high-tech polymer fi bre that is also used for bullet-proof and anti-stab vests. It provides excellent protection from cuts and punctures, and at the same time, it is extremely light-weight. Neither rolling resistance nor tire suppleness are compromised by the V-guard. A 14 mm wide belt protects the total tread area, and thus provides an extremely high level of puncture protection. In addition, a triple layer side wall reliably protects against cuts.


Completely new formulation. Addix Race is a multi-compound made of the most innovative and highest quality proven polymers. Because silica fi ller contents were increased signifi cantly, the mixing process also had to be fi ne-tuned. Various specifi c blends are used for the centre and sides respectively. This increases the grip during cornering without compromising rolling resistance or durability.


To ensure consistent high quality in our tires, we have put a strong emphasis on optimizing our manufacturing process. We have made large investments into innovative machinery and the training of our employees. The greatest precision and tightest production tolerances are essential when making a product of the highest standard. This is the only way to ensure simple mounting, as well as a long life.


The state of the art mixing station features real time computer controlled assurance of the correct mixture ratio. This guarantees a consistently high quality rubber mix.


Tire assembly is still a job that requires human, manual labour and knowledge. New semi-automatic machines support our experienced and well trained specialists.


The innovative plant operates with extreme precision, ensuring an even thickness of tire tread. This effectively prevents variations in weight.

Nachtrag zu meiner ersten Bewertung.
Bin jetzt die ersten 1.000 km mit den Reifen gefahren, auch auf schlechten Straßen und kurze Stücke auf Schotter. Bis jetzt hatte ich noch keinen Platten mit den Reifen, und selbst der hintere zeigt nur minimale Abnutzung an der Lauffläche. Kleine Steinchen setzen sich auch nicht in in der Lauffläche fest und drücken sich nicht ein. Denke 4.000 km werden mit dem Reifen keine Problem werden. Bei Nässe begeistert mich der Reifen auch. Für mich ist er der ideale Reifen. Lange gesucht, und endlich gefunden.👍
Richtig guter Reifen
Der GP 4000 ist ein guter Reifen - fährt sich dagegen aber wie ein Stück Holz...
Souplesse ist nicht "the next marketing Scheiß", sondern ein Fahrerlebnis.
Nach 500 Kilometern keinerlei Abnutzungserscheinungen, und er sammelt keinen Splitt auf.
Ach ja: Und er ist schnell.
Zur Haltbarkeit und zum Pannenschutz kann ich noch nichts sagen. Aber ansonsten kann ich nur sagen, daß er hervorragend ist. Er läuft sehr gut, fühlt sich in den Kurven sicher an und die Dämpfung ist ein Traum. Er hat im Gegensatz zu den meisten Reifen echte 25,2 mm und fährt sich wie ein Breitreifen. Der GP 4000 (reale Breite 27,6 mm) ist dagegen ein schlechtes Fossil, der GP 4 Session (27,6 mm) nur ein Kompromiss, und selbst der Schwalbe Durano Plus von 2019 (27,7 mm) für dei Wintermonate, fährt sich um einiges härter und schwammiger.
Wenn der der Reifen jetzt auch noch Pannensicher ist und 4000 km hält, ist er perfekt.
Ein großes Lob an Schwalbe.👍
