Proven concepts such as beveled lugs for low rolling resistance and longitudinally slotted lugs for better steering control and directional stability have been recombined to develop a very fast front tire. Widely spaced intermediate lugs are insensitive to mud, and the C-shaped side lugs ensure good predictable cornering behavior on any surface.

SuperTacky

A rubber compound with which MAXXIS tires became the most successful tires in downhill races, they offer the original racing quality to all riders. The higher damping and better traction bring time improvements of several seconds per DH run for professional riders, for normal riders simply more grip and more riding fun. A tip for dedicated bike park riders: SuperTacky at the front and MaxxPro at the rear - a recommended combination of grip and durability.

Two-ply 60DW carcass (dual ply casing)

Two layers of fabric are combined and wrapped around the bead cores. The finished carcass then has four plies on the sidewalls and as many as 6 plies under the tread. This is how MAXXIS downhill tires are made.
