Details of the Vittoria Mazza G2.0 Enduro Tire

Starting with a defined center tread, the Mazza uses deep sipes in the direction of rotation that allow the tire to roll fast while counteracting drift, especially off-road off the ridges. The stepped leading edge rolls great and grips on climbs, making the Mazza a top choice for both front and rear. Plenty of room has been created in the center tread to provide braking traction while speeding up cleaning.

The Mazza's cornering is handled by Vittoria's signature progressive sipe width technology, which results in a rubbery, effective edge on the inside, but without the instability competitors experience on the outside of the tread. Simply put, larger sipes flex more than smaller sipes. This unique sipe pattern creates an asymmetrical tread flex, resulting in a predictable and confident feel when cornering. The Mazza's generous tread depth claws into different terrain shapes and is stabilized by Vittoria's proprietary 4C Compuond. Four separate Graphene 2.0 compounds are layered so that the tread surface adheres while the base remains firm. This ensures that each effective edge stays in place during high cornering and braking loads, resulting in lower rolling resistance and longer life.

Graphene 2.0 (G2.0) rubber compound.

GRAPHENE 2.0 (G 2.0) is based on the original graphene compound base built by Vittoria and functionalizes the performance improvements for each specific application. In other words: Where the first generation of graphene compounds raised the bar uniformly, Graphene 2.0 pinpoints each performance metric and raises it disproportionately to the rest. Vittoria is now able to use graphene in a way that delivers performance gains specifically in terms of speed, wet grip, durability and puncture resistance.

4C - The 4-way rubber compound in a single tire.

Tires with 4C technology have separate base and surface compounds, both in the center and lateral areas of the treads. This approach allows the Vittoria team to optimize the flex of the tread base and tread surface separately, and apply the right amount of GRAPHENE 2.0 exactly where needed for different requirements. The rubber compound of the base provides excellent protection against punctures and is therefore extremely durable. Thus, even deep mountain bike profiles can be implemented without any problems.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
