Rambler – A True Gravel All-Rounder
With the Rambler, Maxxis has a real all-rounder for gravel use in its range. While the large volume offers noticeably more comfort, the closely arranged, angled center lugs ensure excellent rolling characteristics, especially on hard surfaces. Regardless of the ground conditions, the more exposed positioned side lugs ensure controlled and predictable handling in corners.
Features of the Maxxis Rambler folding tire
- off-road-compatible profile with closely positioned center lugs and free-standing side lugs
- Dual Compound rubber compound
- Tubeless Ready carcass with EXO sidewall protection
Dual Compound | Two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The characteristics of each compound and their arrangement are determined according to the desired properties of the tire. Different Dual Compounds are used depending on the tire category. For example, the compounds of Gravel and Downhill tires differ considerably.
EXO Protection | This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB and Gravel models. It is very densely woven, but nevertheless extremely light and flexible to ensure that the tires continue to perform well and convincingly.
Tubeless Ready (TR) | Tubeless tires have many advantages. Riding with less air pressure improves traction and rolling resistance is also lower than with inner tubes. In addition, the risk of punctures is significantly reduced by using a sealant instead of an inner tube, as small holes are immediately sealed again.
Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
