Greg Minnaar's signature tire is the essence of 30 years of racing experience and Maxxis' expert knowledge from over 50 years of tire production. Greg Minnaar's idea was to design a tire from the best Maxxis treads. He started in the middle with a combination of Minion DHF and Minion DHR II. The reason for this was that the DHF's surface rolls well and holds super on hardpack, in slippery corners and on wet roots as well as stones. The DHR II rolls even much better and can brake more aggressively. Maxxis engineers and Greg Minnaar also adopted the side lugs of the HighRoller and the lug height of the Shorty for ultimate grip on forest floors.

Wide Trail | The Maxxis Wide Trail construction optimizes the profile layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. The tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellent on all rims with an inner dimension of 30-39 mm.
