The development of digital 3D printing has made it possible to create a new saddle. This performance bike saddle with a new type of 3D printed padding, offers seamless zonal cushioning. The constraints and limitations usually imposed by traditional production methods and materials did not stand in the way of the development process of the Fizik Vento Argo R1 Adaptive not stand in the way.

Adaptive Saddle Padding is made from synthetic material using revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. With the novel carbon technology, Fizik has an unprecedented possibility. Multiple functional zones within a saddle can be designed and manufactured. These were tuned separately for specific mechanical properties.

Customized zonal padding - Using carbon technology, biomechanists and engineers have an unprecedented opportunity: they can design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, tuning each of these zones separately to specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional zones has a particular cushioning and mechanical response that are progressively and seamlessly blended together in the same padding.

Tested in the lab, proven on the road - Professional and amateur cyclists have tested both in the labs of fizik and on the road. During each phase of development, each iteration was carefully tested. A big focus was placed on understanding how the print patterns change according to different bike geometries, riding positions and riding styles.

From idea straight to scalable production - This unique combination of process and materials allowed fizik to develop a product five times faster and create and field test hundreds of iterations. Because this technology is applicable to mass production, it completely remaps the traditional manufacturing process, speeding up and skipping all intermediate stages.

Long lasting performance - The saddle is very easy to clean. Even with the dirtiest road grime, you just need to hose it down with water. Whatever goes in, comes out. It has been subjected to the most rigorous testing, exposing it to accelerated weathering, simulating UV aging and wear resistance by following strict protocols.
