magped GRAVEL Magnetic Pedals - xCarbon | Titanium Axle - 200N

Description

magped GRAVEL Magnetic Pedals - xCarbon | Titanium Axle - 200N

A true alternative for Gravel and XC

magped has developed these pedals especially for use on gravel and light terrain. Thanks to the xCarbon body, the magnetic pedals are not only lightweight but also durable. Whether equipped with a steel or titanium axle, each pedal offers an optimum balance between performance and safety. To ensure the best possible adaptation to the respective shoe model, the light gray spacer blocks, which are available in different sizes, can be easily exchanged.

The magped safety pedals are the innovation for all types of bikes. By using the patented magnetic mechanism, a safe, easy detachment of the foot from the pedal is possible at any time. The risk of falling and injury is reduced to an absolute minimum compared to pedals with fixed connections (e. g. clipless pedal system) and the head remains free for enjoyable biking without fear.

Technical details of the magnetic magped GRAVEL pedals

  • material pedal body: xCarbon
  • material axle: titanium
  • magnetic strength: 200 N (suitable for all weight classes from about 45 kg on)
  • dimensions pedal body: 86 x 60 x 19 mm (length x width x height
  • weight: approx. 212 g (pair; manufacturer's specification)

Round pedaling | magped pedals allow a round pedaling, since both the extensor (70 %) and flexor (30 %) muscles of the legs are equally stressed. This makes even longer bike tours pure pleasure.

Easy positioning | The magnetic pedals allow a slight rotation of the shoe and thus protect the joints when pedaling. Likewise, the position can be varied forward and backward without changing the traction. thus easily find the ideal position for both the ascent and the descent.

Problem-free detachment | The shoe is held magnetically on the pedal with up to 20 kg of traction force, depending on the selected magnetic strength. The tractive force acts primarily vertically and a lateral detachment from the pedal is possible almost without noticeable resistance. But also a quick and easy detachment in critical situations directly upwards is no problem.

Technology | All magped pedals are equipped with 3 high-quality, sealed industrial ball bearings and are not heavier than comparable high-end pedals despite the additional magnet system. The height of the neodymium high-performance magnets is also adjustable via a special integrated polymer suspension.

Compatibility | The cleats made of special stainless steel can be mounted on all compatible bicycle shoes in a few minutes. Unlike other systems, dirt is no problem for the magped solution. In addition, the risk of tripping while walking is reduced and the walking comfort is greatly improved.

Scope of supply:

  • 1 pair of pedals (left + right) incl. neodymium magnets
  • STRONG metal plates for 2-hole bike shoes (SPD)
  • POSITIONING plates for mounting on the shoe
  • magnetic bolts
  • 1 hexagon socket wrench

Safety note: Magnetic magped pedals do not have a fixed mechanical connection. Magnetic traction is affected by numerous factors such as magnet size, contamination, incorrect positioning of the shoe on the pedal, and direction of force application. Unintentional detachment from the pedal is therefore possible at any time.
