Knee-friendly: The new 502 active pedal

Freedom starts at the foot: Previous studies have been able to prove that releasing the axial rotation by 10° on clipless pedals can reduce the potential of overuse injuries in knees - this assumption was investigated as part of a master's thesis and, based on this, the 502 active system pedal was developed for trekking cyclists: the first active pedal on the market for a knee-friendly, ergonomic foot position.

The slightly concave and outwardly rotated pedal surface enables an ergonomic stance on the pedal and at the same time generates enormous grip. Four different axle lengths ensure a physiologically natural foot position on the pedal. This prevents one-sided stress - especially in the case of fibula head syndrome.
