This ultra-light XC competition tire is the first choice when it gets wet and muddy. Its narrow profile cuts through thick mud and guarantees the necessary grip. At the same time, the new MaxxSpeed compound significantly reduces rolling resistance and adheres reliably to wet roots and stones.

Features of the Maxxis Severe folding tire

• EXO Protection - This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB and Gravel and some Metro models. It is very tightly woven, yet lightweight and very flexible. Therefore, the performance of the tires remains unchanged convincingly good.
• Tubeless Ready - Tubeless tires on the bike have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure and thus has better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with tube, and with a sealant instead of a tube, the risk of punctures is greatly reduced, because small holes are simply sealed.
• MaxxSpeed - The fast compound convinces with optimally tuned properties for XC and selected All Mountain / Trail tires. MaxxSpeed now consists of only one rubber compound (single compound), while the previous 3C MaxxSpeed still three different compounds were combined.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
