Details of the Hanwag Makra Light GTX shoes for women
What can it do? Quite a lot! Because shoes that are supposed to carry you safely over iron pins, ladder rungs or rock edges must be particularly solidly made to withstand constant weight loads. At the same time, they should be built in such a way that the wearer has a good feel for the ground. And to ensure that ascents and descents are comfortable, they need a properly cushioned base that allows for harmonious rolling. The sporty mid-cut Makra Lady GTX can do even more.
It is suitable for all women who enjoy the advantages of a low cut on the uphill, but cannot or do not want to do without stabilizing safety at the joints on the downhill. This is made possible by the use of a special 2-zone fixation and a mechanical clamp, which allows the shaft to be adjusted easily and effortlessly to the respective terrain and requirements. In contrast to a conventional clamping hook, the mechanical clamp blocks reliably and can no longer slip after fixing - without manual intervention.
This adjustment allows, for example, a tight lacing at the ankle and a loose fixation of the upper part of the shaft for optimum ankle mobility when ascending and climbing. When descending, the whole thing can also be laced tightly over the ankle so that the ankle remains stable. In addition to a flexibly adjustable upper, the Makra Light GTX impresses with a particularly lightweight, close-fitting and well-cushioned midsole technology that provides the necessary stability for difficult terrain.
