As tenths of a second can often make the difference between winning and losing in professional racing, everything is placed on one card when it comes to material
The lightweight Aspen folding tire from Maxxis not only has numerous World Cup victories to its name, it can even claim a triumph at the Olympic Games. While the large volume guarantees excellent rolling characteristics, the aggressive side lugs arranged in pairs provide the necessary grip in corners. In order to generate optimum grip both when braking and accelerating, the straightforward tread pattern in the center of the fast Cross Country tire consists of arrow-shaped sipes alternating with block-shaped lugs.
The TeamSpec version uses the same tread pattern as the conventional Aspen tire, but combines it with the fast and supple ONE70 carcass (170 tpi).
* It should be noted that the tires with 170 tpi carcass are primarily intended for racing use under suitable conditions. The weight savings and low rolling resistance of the Aspen TeamSpec ONE70 models are at the expense of long-term durability compared to the models with the standard carcass.
