Vectran Breaker

Vectran is spun from the liquid crystal polymer Vectra. This produces a thermoplastic, multi-fiber yarn. By comparison, this semi-crystalline fabric is more cut-resistant than aramid and has five times the tensile strength of steel. A Vectran breaker is lighter, more flexible and provides more effective protection against cuts than comparable nylon breakers. Rolling resistance is not negatively affected.

PolyX Breaker

With the PolyX Breaker, Continental is bringing car know-how to the bicycle tire segment. Polyester has already been used successfully in car tires for years and has proven itself many times over. The extremely resistant polyester fiber is woven crosswise in a tight mesh. This results in a very high fabric density, which not only makes the breaker resistant to foreign bodies, but also particularly resistant to punctures.

E-bike ready

The e-bike tires are based on over 100 years of experience in the field of moped and motorcycle tires. The city and trekking tires all meet at least the standard up to 25 km/h. Tires marked with E50 may also be used for S-pedelecs. Due to their high-quality construction, these tires have high puncture protection, low rolling resistance and are protected against premature wear by the additional driving force.
