When you're out and about in freezing temperatures, it's vital to protect your neck and face from the bitter wind and cold. The Q36.5 Balaclava uses Karl Mayer's innovative seamless knit construction to create a close-fitting piece that protects against cold and wind without causing unwanted pressure points.
The Q36.5 Balaclava uses the same seamless warp knit technology as the baselayer and is made from two advanced fabrics: Emana® yarn and Hollow Fiber. The Emana® yarn is an organic, ceramic polyamide yarn that improves microcirculation and oxygenation during physical activity for better thermoregulation and moisture wicking. In combination with the Hollow Fiber yarns, the Balaclava offers greater insulation capacity without constricting. The Hollow Fiber also reduces water retention thanks to the hollow core structure of the fiber, which traps heat while wicking away moisture.
