The SUPERNOVA MINI 3 PRO MonkeyLink is one of the smallest headlights that can be fitted with the MonkeyLink system. In addition to the low beam, the MINI 3 PRO MonkeyLink now also has a very striking daytime running light and a high beam, which more than doubles its light output. Cornering illumination is also improved many times over. The headlight can be clicked onto the matching MonkeyLink stem in next to no time. The new Terraflux 5 lens ensures very homogeneous illumination and has a particularly eye-friendly light pattern for hours of night riding. Can only be mounted on bikes with MonkeyLink stem!

MONKEYLINK SYSTEM

MonkeyLink is a revolutionary new connection standard for mechanical and electrical accessories on e-bikes. It allows you to mount the light in no time at all without having to plug in a cable. This makes retrofitting and converting lights on bikes prepared for MonkeyLink child's play. Of course, there is also an anti-theft function for permanent use.

ADVANTAGE OF HIGH BEAM FOR CORNERING ILLUMINATION

Supernova uses a special high beam with an extra-wide beam angle, which provides improved illumination, especially above the main light cone, so that signs and hanging branches, for example, are much better illuminated. This also improves cornering illumination immensely! With standard headlights that only have a dipped beam function, the dipped beam tilts to the side when cornering, so that an important part of the bend is no longer illuminated. The greatly increased luminosity of the Supernova high beam, on the other hand, shines far beyond the glare horizon and illuminates the bend. This results in a much improved illumination of the road when cornering and therefore an enormous increase in safety for the cyclist.

HIGH BEAM PROVIDES COMPENSATION WHEN THE SUSPENSION FORK DIPS

The problem is particularly well known with MTBs: These often have long suspension travel that dips, especially when braking, so that the headlight range is sometimes reduced by up to 90%. Supernova's special high beam is optimized so that a particularly large amount of light is available above the cut-off line, so that fork movement is compensated for and visibility of the trail is maintained. On the approach to the trail in the city, you can ride glare-free in low beam mode. As soon as required, the high beam can be switched on at the touch of a button.

TERRAFLUX 5 LENS

The TERRAFLUX lens was a milestone in Supernova's development and is now in its 5th generation. Hardly any other lens of this size produces such bright and uniform illumination. Thanks to sophisticated light control, the TERRAFLUX lens directs 90 % of the light to where it is needed most: onto the road. There it forms a wide and uniform carpet of light that extends from the front wheel far into the horizon. The permanent daytime running light integrated into the lens ensures that the driver is highly visible in traffic during the day. At night, this light component is used for excellent ambient illumination and makes traffic signs or low-hanging branches visible.

ALUMINUM HOUSING

Supernova uses aerospace aluminum for the housing because it is not only super-stable but also has excellent heat conduction properties. The better the cooling, the brighter the LED. Cooling fins on the housings increase the surface area, allowing heat to be dissipated more effectively. The housings are also anodized to be salt-water resistant and can withstand the most adverse conditions. Extreme tests in all seasons and climatic zones by ultra-cycling athletes who ride with Supernova lighting prove the outstanding reliability and durability.

LED COOLING

Maximum performance with the best possible efficiency is the credo. The enormous brightness values of the headlight systems can only be achieved through sophisticated cooling of the high-performance LEDs. The better an LED is cooled, the brighter it shines. The service life is also greatly extended by good cooling. The most important prerequisites for ideal heat dissipation include a careful choice of materials and a sophisticated design. Completely uninterrupted heat dissipation, for example, can only be achieved with a housing made seamlessly from a single piece of aluminum. In extreme situations, an integrated heat sensor also keeps the headlamp within the optimum temperature range at all times.
