Tom Ritchey rides about 16,000 km (10,000 miles) a year and most of it off-road. Add in his 40+ years of experience designing and building bikes, and it's no wonder the OUTBACK has become an icon in the world of gravel and adventure bikes.

Updated features of the 2025 Ritchey Outback include internal cable routing for telescopic seatposts, a luggage mount on the fork and internal cable routing for hub dynamos.

The OUTBACK V4 has several practical and customizable features that allow the rider to pursue epic riding experiences beyond the end of the road as well as the end of the day. Mounts for racks and mudguards help to not only keep everything dry, but also extend the carrying capacity for longer bikepacking adventures, while tire clearance for 700C x 48 mm or 650B x 2.0 inch wheels opens up a whole new world of possibilities. The OUTBACK V4 is prepared to accept flatmount disc brake calipers and the Ritchey Adventure full carbon fork offers more space for stowing supplies thanks to its multi-purpose mounts.

Carefully TIG-welded with the company's own double-butted Logic steel tubes, the OUTBACK V4 frame offers the legendary Ritchey ride quality, which is resilient even in the roughest terrain and nevertheless provides the necessary responsiveness at the right moment.
