Application process

When selecting a chain lubricant and chain treatment, ease of application is important. The entire application process of WT-1 Chain Lube takes less than a minute, and you do not need to clean the chain before treating it.

• Shake the bottle of WT-1 for 30 seconds. There is a ball bearing in each bottle to make mixing easier.
• Apply one drop to each roller of the chain. Wolf Tooth recommends applying WT-1 Chain Lube to the top of the chain between the rear derailleur and chainring, just before the bottom pulley of the rear derailleur.
• Back off 20-30 times. This allows the WT-1 Chain Lube to find its way between all parts of the chain.
• Wipe the chain with a microfiber cloth until it appears clean and slightly shiny. It will look particularly dirty at first, but if you wipe away the dirt, it will become clean again.
• Ride! Reapply as required. Wolf Tooth recommends re-greasing at least once every 650km (400 miles), depending on riding conditions.
