Details on the Mountain Equipment Makulu rain trousers
With their breathable 75D GORE-TEX ePE, the Makalu pants offer a perfect balance of robustness, comfort and weight. They can withstand the toughest alpine conditions while remaining comfortable all day long. With them, you can relax and concentrate fully on your tour, no matter how long you are on the move.
Pre-shaped knees ensure freedom of movement. The knees and seat are reinforced for use when climbing or mountaineering in demanding terrain. Thanks to the 3/4-length, two-way side zippers with internal cover, the Makalu can also be put on easily with mountaineering boots and crampons. During intense phases, they can be opened to allow heat and moisture to escape. When walking through snow or wet grass, the adjustable leg cuffs ensure that moisture does not penetrate from below.
