The FSA Gradient i29 WideR wheelset uses robust carbon rims with a rim width of 29 mm, which offer low weight combined with high stiffness, making them the perfect choice for demanding MTB disciplines such as All Mountain, Enduro and Trail. FSA's expertise in carbon manufacturing processes combined with the asymmetrical profile of the hookless tubeless rims and the high-quality Boost hubs guarantee extremely high strength without compromising on weight.

The hubs feature Centerlock brake disc mounts and the innovative PRA system (Preload Reduction Assembly) for easy adjustment of the bearing preload by fine-tuning the open PRA collar.

The connection between rim and hub is made using double-butted and double-crossed straight-pull aero spokes, which are secured by brass nipples. 24 spokes per wheel keep the rotating mass low and, in conjunction with the 7 cartridge bearings, ensure smooth rolling characteristics, while the 6-pawl freehub of the rear hub ensures a fast response.
