Description of Challenge Chicane Pro Open Tubular Folding Tire - 33-622

With this tire Helen Wyman won the European Cross-Championship in 2013. An aggressive side profile gives you optimal cornering grip and a flat middle profile guaranty high speed on dry, hard surfaces.

This folding tire with a 300 TPI casing made of a polyester is very supple and features a Puncture Protection Strip (PPS), which is an extra layer of highly resistant material between the casing and the tire to reduce the risk of punctures.

Open tubular tires mount like a standard clincher and are made using the same process as regular tubular tires, but instead of sewing the casing together, the sides of the tubular casing are folded around aramid fiber cords to produce the beads. The result is a tire that maintains most of the suppleness and ride quality gained from a tubular to offer excellent traction and cornering grip, low rolling resistance and shock absorption.

Symbol Picture: The picture shows the tubular version. The clincher version comes with a centered imprint on the tan colored sidewalls.

Good
Roll awesome on both the road and dirt, great feel , rode 2000km and the tread had no wear marks at all...... all on mixed terrain
Have marked down just a little due to side wall strength -- had one blow up and it burst the side wall on the beading but was able to ride home (80km) with a 5 dollar note due to the low min pressure you can ride in the tyre.
Also a little expensive if paying full price and they don't go on special very often grab them if they do
