The inspiration came from the DirtTrack racing tire from the Maxxis motorcycle division: the DTR-1 is the cool alternative for your 27.5" city and urban bike or beach cruiser. The tires feature high-volume damping and DualCompound for durability.
Dual Compound
Two different rubber compounds are processed in one tread strip. Maxxis develops the ratio of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tires.
SilkWorm
Silkworm is a protective layer developed by MAXXIS that lies under the tread and protects the tires from punctures, cracks and other damage.
