Prologo Scratch NDR PAS 140 Saddle - Tirox - anthracite

Description

Prologo Scratch NDR PAS 140 Saddle - Tirox - anthracite

Scratch NDR PAS is the open version of the legendary ergonomic T-shaped saddle, specially developed for XC mountain biking, but also suitable for gravel and road cycling. Lightweight, comfortable and powerful, this saddle is the off-road evolution of the proven Scratch M5 - a new saddle with racing DNA, designed for cross-country and marathon racing at the highest level.

Features of the Prologo Scratch NDR PAS 140 saddle:

  • Area of use: cross-country and marathon mountain biking
  • T-shaped and round saddle
  • PAS channel (Perineal Area System)
  • Multi Sector System: various delineated and separate zones, each with specific features and functions tailored to the XC and marathon disciplines
  • The two rear side panels are designed to provide more stability and comfort on lengthy climbs in a rearward leaning position
  • Variable density EVA foam padding is 3mm thicker at the rear to ensure maximum support. These zones also have a smooth cover to facilitate movement outside the saddle
  • The innovative front center area has been specially developed for steep, technical climbs and has a wide, flat surface that provides firm support even when pedaling on the saddle tip. This area features a grip cover with a horizontal structure to maximize traction and support an advanced riding position

Details of the Prologo Scratch NDR PAS 140 saddle:

Anatomical shape

The anatomical shape of the new Scratch NDR PAS (250 x 140 mm) has been redesigned for off-road use. The "anatomical center" has been moved back by 5 mm to increase the rider's freedom of movement and improve pedaling performance in the rear position - typical for lengthy climbs. The round anatomical shape offers additional support in the lumbar area and thus contributes to a stable position even with limited pelvic mobility.

Technologies

The PAS (Perineal Area System) features a wider relief channel that reduces compression of soft tissue, tendons and blood vessels, ensuring proper blood circulation. The Scratch NDR PAS inherits from the Scratch family both the compact dimensions (250 x 140 mm) and the multi-sector system: clearly labeled zones, each with specific functions and features tailored to XC and marathon disciplines. The two rear side panels are designed to provide more stability and comfort when pedaling in a rearward position on lengthy climbs. The variable density foam is 3mm thicker at the rear to provide maximum support, while the smooth cover makes it easier to slip off the saddle. The innovative front center section is specially designed for steep and technical climbs and has a wide, flat surface that provides a stable contact surface even when pedaling on the saddle nose. This area is covered with a Grip Cover with a horizontal texture that maximizes grip and helps the rider maintain a forward position in the saddle.

Base & Rail

For riders looking for more comfort, there is an injected carbon fiber base and TiroX rails made of light alloy, a material with an excellent weight/strength ratio that gives the saddle less stiffness and better vibration damping.
