Geometries and fitting

Close cooperation with the Groupama-FDJ Cycling Team has made it possible to optimize every last detail of the frame geometry. The aim: to develop an almost tailor-made fitting system.

Thanks to the AccuFit system, every frame size has the same geometric consistency and precision in fitting, resulting in a balanced, natural and powerful riding experience - regardless of body size and riding style.

F-Bar ID2: aerodynamic cockpit for more control and comfort

The new F-Bar ID2 is an aerodynamic cockpit that was developed in close collaboration between engineers and athletes from the Groupama-FDJ Cycling Team specifically to meet the requirements of modern cyclists.

For the first time on a Wilier product, the handlebar mounting hardware is completely hidden. This not only improves aesthetics, but also effectively protects against dirt and sweat and optimizes aerodynamics - all while fully complying with current UCI regulations.

Balance as the key to speed

An aero frame is always about finding the optimal balance between aerodynamics, stiffness and reactivity. The aim is not to achieve extreme lightness, but to ensure maximum efficiency at high speeds, precise and stable suspension response in all riding conditions, while enabling configurations whose weight is only slightly above the UCI limits.

To achieve this, the choice of materials plays a decisive role. For the Filante SLR ID2, Wilier also relies on high-quality composite materials, which were developed in close cooperation with Toray, the world's leading manufacturer of carbon fibers.

Three types of fiber are used to laminate the monocoque frame - T800, T1100 and M46JB - which are carefully selected and combined to optimally combine reactivity, stiffness and lightness. The total weight in the Dura Ace Di2 specification is just 7.1kg.
