With this Bora WTO wheelset, the Aero Carbon wheels family is not only enriched with the 45 mm profile for a wide audience, but also opens up the segment of disc-braked road bikes. As is already familiar from Campagnolo WTO wheels, the rim design allows for maximum aerodynamic penetration, and at a certain angle, the wind even becomes a valuable ally for the athlete. Aerodynamic aluminum rims and hubs and a ceramic USB cone-cup bearing system in the hubs: every design decision in these wheels is aimed at optimizing performance.

In the version with AFS brake disc mount, the 19 mm inner rim width allows not only the installation of classic road bike tires in widths from 23 to 28 mm, but also tires up to 33 mm wide. In addition, Campagnolo offers proven technology with its 2-Way Fit (tubeless ready) concept to ensure perfect compatibility with wire bead tires and tubeless tires. The Bora WTO 45 wheelset also features water transfer printed graphics, radial lacing on the front wheel, and a G3 lacing system on the rear wheel. External self-locking nipples, aluminum hubs with different diameters for the front and rear wheels, adjustable USB ceramic bearings, and an aluminum freewheel body are just a few of the other top features of the Bora WTO 45.

45 mm rim profile but nonetheless aero

The 45 mm high profile and a low weight of just over 1500 grams for the pair of wheels makes Campagnolo's WTO 45 the ideal set for routes with slight ascents and descents, without having to sacrifice aerodynamic advantages on straights or flat terrain. The rim design allows for aerodynamic penetration of the airflow, as the wind, when acting on the rim at an angle between 12° and 19°, gives the athlete momentum.

The slim design of the hub in the middle section also reduces the frontal area of the component, and the particularity design of the flanks promotes flow separation. The elliptical cross-section of the 24 front wheel and 24 rear wheel spokes significantly reduces rolling resistance.

Wheels with incredible smoothness

The proven USB cone-cone bearing system ensures that the ceramic bearings glide smoothly. The 2-Way Fit profile not only allows for easy mounting of wire bead tires, but also tubeless ready tires with low rolling resistance. The C19 class allows the mounting of 23 to 28 mm wide tires with a perfect connection between the rim and tire system, but also larger tires up to 33 mm width. For optimal aerodynamics, the manufacturer recommends using 25 mm wide tires.

2-Way Fit

2-Way Fit stands for an innovative rim profile on which both tubeless tires and classic wire bead tires can be mounted. With 2-Way Fit, everyone can try out for themselves which of the two solutions suits them best. It is also possible to use wire bead tires for daily training and tubeless tires for competition days. Tubeless tires are undoubtedly the tires of the future for road cycling. In addition to greater comfort, another advantage of tubeless tires is their improved rolling characteristics due to the complete elimination of friction between the tire and the inner tube. They are also safe from sudden air loss, and in the event of a flat tire, the 2-Way Fit system allows you to easily remove the sealing valve and fit a normal inner tube for a trouble-free ride home.

G3 geometry

Campagnolo has developed a spoke pattern that enables improved energy transfer compared to conventional wheels. The use of double the number of spokes on the right side of the rear wheel reduces the stress on the spokes located there. The G3 offers amazing advantages, not only increasing lateral stiffness, but also reducing spoke tension on the rear wheel and ultimately improving the transmission of driving force. In addition, suspension response is optimized and vibrations are eliminated at higher system weights.

USB (Ultra Smooth Bearings)

Campagnolo hubs with USB ceramic bearings not only increase the smoothness of the wheels, but also reduce their weight and maintenance requirements. Absolutely smooth surfaces ensure lower friction to reduce energy loss as much as possible. This allows all power to be transferred to the road without loss. Developed in the Campy Tech Lab, comparative tests show that USB bearings are 50% smoother than standard bearings.
