Easy maintenance

DT Swiss hubs are known for their no-tool concept. This concept allows tool-free conversion to all common axle and freewheel body standards. All DT Swiss Ratchet System hubs can be converted.

Less weight

The original Ratchet System required two springs to function correctly, as the internal toothed washer was not attached to the hub shell. The integration of the toothed washer and threaded ring not only increases durability, but also reduces the number of components by using a single spring. This also reduces the weight of the freehub system.

Complete engagement

The fixed connection between the inner hub and the hub shell of the Ratchet LN System hub ensures that the inner hub is always aligned at the correct angle.

Superior reliability

Ratchet System hubs are unique in that all the teeth of the two discs engage simultaneously every time. In the case of pawl hubs, the engagement surface is quite small. With the Ratchet System, on the other hand, the entire end faces engage with each other, which significantly reduces point loading. The result is the legendary reliability of Ratchet System hubs.
