The monocoque construction of the Scale RC allows the front triangle of the frame to be manufactured from a single mold. Thanks to many years of experience in carbon processing, the frame consists of only three individual parts that are precisely assembled. The reduced number of joints results in lower weight and higher stiffness. Developed as a system, the monocoque design optimally distributes the forces acting on it, contributing to efficiency and performance.
An integrated service flap on the down tube allows quick access to the inside of the frame without having to remove the bottom bracket. This greatly simplifies frame maintenance, especially in the area of cable routing.
The Scale design consistently follows the principle of "form follows function." The goal was to create a design that is reduced to the essentials while offering maximum efficiency. The result is a bicycle with clean lines, minimalist design, and striking character. The straightforward, aggressive appearance reflects the functional characteristics of the frame and gives the bicycle its unmistakable identity.
On the Scale RC, the head angle can be varied by 0.6°, either flatter or steeper. This adjustment can be made without affecting cables or brake hoses. To do this, simply remove the handlebars, rotate the headset 180°, and then reattach the handlebars.
The Scale is equipped with the Fraser iC handlebar-stem unit. Among other things, it was developed to optimally implement the complete integration of the cables and lines. These run under the handlebars and along the side of the stem before disappearing into the frame via integrated guide elements in the headset area.
The result is a particularly tidy and functional cockpit. In addition, the handlebars and stem offer various mounting options for cycling computers, lighting, or cameras.
