It offers real added value in terms of safety and comfort, both for the climber and the belayer, in the gym, on the rock, and on alpine sport climbing routes (with a single rope). This benefits beginners, experienced climbers, and professionals, as well as rope teams with and without weight differences. The integrated HMPE loop allows three braking levels to be set with a single hand movement, depending on the weight distribution.

The integrated pulley ensures that the friction generated at the first intermediate belay is lower than when using a quickdraw, meaning that the OHMEGA is not noticeable when climbing or clipping, even on routes of great length and difficulty. The short HMPE loop and the resulting minimal activation distance make it easier for the belayer to belay dynamically and smoothly, reducing the risk of impact injuries.

In the event of a fall, the cam slows down the fall, supporting the belayer and compensating for any weight difference. This prevents the belayer from being pulled up uncontrollably in the event of a long fall. In the event of falls close to the ground, the OHMEGA's brake reduces both the risk of collision between climbing partners and the risk of ground falls. In addition, the OHMEGA also has a reliable brake if the climber falls directly into the device.
