Consistent Evolution

Since 2018, the Basso Palta has consistently forged its own path. While many manufacturers developed gravel bikes for increasingly specialized applications, Basso remained true to a clear vision: uncompromising versatility. The Palta III represents the perfected evolution of this approach.

In the third generation, the boundaries have been deliberately pushed further. Lateral stiffness has been increased to enable explosive power transfer. At the same time, aerodynamics have been further optimized to offer maximum efficiency even in headwinds. This is complemented by noticeably improved compliance, which effectively smooths out even rough gravel sections and enhances comfort on long rides.

With increased tire clearance, integrated storage, and the consistently refined signature Palta geometry, the Palta III deliberately avoids any limitations on its intended use. It doesn’t define gravel; rather, it gives riders all the tools they need to determine their own scope of use.

Thoughtful design for versatility and comfort

The Basso Palta III’s increased tire clearance allows for the use of wider tires at lower air pressure. This significantly increases grip while providing noticeably greater comfort on long rides, both on asphalt and on challenging gravel.

The pronounced sloping geometry works in harmony with the seatpost and the second-generation 3B clamping system. This integrated overall concept effectively absorbs shocks and vibrations, contributing to a smooth, fatigue-free riding experience.

Hidden Storage & Noticeable Durability

The Palta III features a special storage compartment in the down tube, elegantly concealed by a color-coordinated cover to preserve the frame’s clean aesthetic. This cover serves as a secure mounting point, guaranteeing absolute stability even with heavy water bottles on rough terrain. To maximize utility, the interior features two sturdy, abrasion-resistant, and waterproof bags where tools and essential items can be stored in a perfectly organized and protected manner.
