With a rim height of 56 mm and the distinctive Æra profile, the rim offers a noticeable reduction in aerodynamic drag. The shape was developed using computational fluid dynamics simulations and reduces drag by up to 10 percent compared to a smooth rim of the same height. At the same time, handling remains stable and predictable in crosswinds, delivering genuine aerodynamic benefits without compromising control during gusts of wind.

The Strada Æra 56 is based on the modern SLR5 manufacturing process, which is considered a further development of the proven SLS5 technology from the mountain bike sector. High-quality Toray T1100 carbon fibers, resin from aerospace engineering, and a particularly precise layup ensure a balanced combination of low weight, high stiffness, and reliable durability.

DRC technology provides additional riding comfort and greater control. It optimizes vibration damping and improves steering stability, ensuring the wheel remains pleasantly smooth even at high speeds and on less-than-perfect pavement. Molded spoke holes featuring SpokeCore technology contribute to a uniform, durable, and resilient structure.

With an inner width of 24 mm, the Strada Æra 56 is ideally matched to modern 28 mm tires. This combination allows for lower tire pressures, greater comfort, and better grip without compromising rolling efficiency.
