Braking performance doesn’t have to be difficult. Maximum braking power and reliability in extreme conditions—that’s the MT7’s motto. In tough enduro or downhill riding, the extra braking power from 4 brake pistons and precise modulation provide an added safety advantage. The tool-free adjustable brake levers and the adjustable bite point provide the necessary ergonomics to keep the brakes perfectly under control even on rough terrain and long descents.
Under the HCT program—which stands for Hard Core Tech at MAGURA and has its origins in MAGURA Powersport—MAGURA brings together all developments and specialized detail improvements designed for racing or the most demanding conditions. Now MAGURA is bringing HCT to mountain bikes.
The HC brake lever for the MT disc brakes was developed specifically to optimize ergonomic performance. The ergonomics of the shorter HC aluminum lever enable full braking power, safely with just one finger. The design and new ergonomics of the 12 mm shorter HC lever also incorporate feedback and experience from Danny MacAskill.
With the same weight as the standard 2-finger aluminum levers, the HC technology version noticeably improves ergonomic performance.
Carbotecture® SL
Compared to Magura’s conventional Carbotecture® material—a blend of high-tech polymers and carbon or glass fibers—Carbotecture® SL incorporates medium-length rather than short carbon fibers into the polyamides to further increase durability while reducing weight. Compared to the classic lightweight material aluminum, Carbotecture® SL offers significant advantages: It is just as tensile and fracture-resistant while having a weight that is more than 50% lower than that of aluminum
Magura brakes are characterized by high thermal stability, achieved through optimal weight distribution. Optimal use of materials where they are needed
Quick and easy to change—that’s the magnetiXchange brake pads. Magnetic pistons ensure a perfect fit of the brake pad in the caliper and make pad replacement a breeze
The new high-tech brakes born from motorsport experience: 4-piston caliper technology defines the new performance portfolio for maximum braking power and stability under extreme conditions.
EBT | Easy Bleed Technology: for quick and easy bleeding.
TAD | Triple Arch Design: for optimal stiffness.
Shift Mix: for mounting SRAM shifters.
BAT: tool-free reach adjustment, retrofittable (Magura part number 2700572)
Included in the scope of delivery:
