Authentic road cycling, enhanced with a wider gear range and more accessible than ever before. That is the 2x11-speed drivetrain system of Shimano’s redesigned Tiagra series. The mechanical shifting components are designed with a focus on practicality and user-friendliness. While the ergonomic and comfortable shift levers form the heart of the groupset, the CS-RS400 cassette provides the foundation for a lightweight road configuration that still offers a sufficiently wide transmission ratio to handle mixed terrain as well as steep climbs.

True to Shimano’s tradition, the crank of the Tiagra R4000 series also carries the DNA of the brand’s own high-end components. Specifically developed for road cycling, it embodies this heritage through an ideal balance between low weight and efficiency, without compromising on stiffness.

2-Piece Crankset | The two-piece construction, in which the right-hand crank arm is firmly connected to the shaft of the bottom bracket, serves to optimize the ratio between stiffness and low weight. In combination with the external bearing, which also results in an increased bottom bracket distance, the power transmission is noticeably improved.
