Visually, the M6200 and M7200 components are inspired by the elegant design of the electronic Deore Di2 series. Also technically the mechanical 12-speed components match the performance of their electronic counterparts, making them a viable upgrade option for all MTB disciplines.

Ergonomics Elevated. The redesigned shifters of the Deore M6200 series feature improved ergonomics and an even more precise shifting feel. The optimized lever blade is designed so that the first two shifts cover an almost straight lever travel. At the same time, the total lever travel is shorter, while the shifting action feels even crisper. The basis for this ergonomic advancement is the motion sequence that follows the natural movement of the human hand, enabling an even more natural shifting experience.

The SL-M6200 shift lever was designed for HyperGlide+ drivetrain systems and, when used in combination with them, offers a Multi-Shift function that allows for the simultaneous shifting of up to 3 gears using the main lever blade.

Rapidfire Plus | With this shifting system, you shift to a larger pinion with your thumb and to a smaller pinion with your index finger. When downshifting, up to three gears can be shifted simultaneously.

2-Way Release | This function allows you to release the shift cable by either pushing with your thumb or pulling with your index finger. This means you don’t have to adapt your riding style to the rear derailleur—instead, the rear derailleur adapts to your riding style.

I-Spec EV | Shimano’s integrated I-Spec mounting system for brake and shift levers enables a clean, performance-optimized cockpit layout that helps riders maintain greater focus and flexibility. The ergonomic design, faster lever access, and smooth operation enhance riding comfort. Thanks to the EV version’s even wider adjustment range, every type of rider can easily find their optimal position, regardless of riding style, preferences, or hand and arm position. On the I-Spec EV brake levers, the clamp that is set further inward creates an additional contact point with the handlebar, further improving the stiffness of the lever unit.
