The Maxxis Performance Compound (MPC) is characterized by a very long service life, very low rolling resistance, and good grip, even in wet conditions.

Maxxis wire bead tires are manufactured to an exceptionally high standard. The carcass (60TPI) and rubber compound are identical to those used in folding tires. This makes Maxxis wire bead tires very light in comparison, weighing only about 30 g more than folding tires.
