A modified version of the popular Challenge Limus. It has a similar profile with the same great self cleaning characteristics but comes with closer and lower knobs in the middle section for an increased cornering stability and a lower rolling resistance.
This folding tire with a 300 TPI casing made of polyester is very supple and features a Puncture Protection Strip (PPS), which is an extra layer of highly resistant material between the casing and the tire to reduce the risk of punctures.
Open tubular tires mount like a standard clincher and are made using the same process as regular tubular tires, but instead of sewing the casing together, the sides of the tubular casing are folded around aramid fiber cords to produce the beads. The result is a tire that maintains most of the suppleness and ride quality gained from a tubular to offer excellent traction and cornering grip, low rolling resistance and shock absorption.
