The 300 TPI casing made of polyester is very supple and comes with a Puncture Protection Strip (PPS), which is an extra layer of highly resistant material between the casing and the tire to reduce the risk of punctures.

Open tubular tires mount like a standard clincher and are made using the same process as regular tubular tires, but instead of sewing the casing together, the sides of the tubular casing are folded around aramid fiber cords to produce the beads. The result is a tire that maintains most of the suppleness and ride quality gained from a tubular to offer excellent traction and cornering grip, low rolling resistance and shock absorption.
