The Aksium wheel is a great choice for everyday road riding. With a smart balance of high-quality materials and durable construction, it offers aspiring road riders the clear performance benefits of a high-quality wheel.
This Aksium Disc model includes special features aimed at the unique demands of disc brake road bikes. It uses 24 straight-pull spokes for added stiffness and strength.
With a 17mm internal width, this rim is compatible with tires up to 32mm, making them versatile, comfortable and ideal for challenging road conditions. The disc-specific hub features super strong QRM bearings that provide low friction and long-term durability.

Technologies:
QRM (Qualité de Roulements Mavic) - Mavic only uses high quality sealed cartridge bearings. On QRM wheels, they feature double sealing (2RS or LLU) together with tight C3 internal clearance.
Inside the Aksium Disc the new freewheel-generation named Instant Drive 360 will be used - it makes a perfect hub: low weight, minimized friction, quick force-closure, high axle-stiffness and enormously long lifetime. And if maintenance should be necessary, or altering the axle-standard, it is tool-free and easier than ever before.

Maintenance/care:
Clean with a dry cloth or soap and water. Do not use pressurized water.

Mavic Care manufacturer's warranty:
The Mavic Care program offers you the opportunity to activate a 2 year warranty for all Mavic wheels purchased new from 2016 onwards. For certain wheels you can extend that warranty by 1 year to a total of 3 years free of charge. An overview of those wheels can be found here.
