Why Sapphire?

The Sapphire 34 D1 is bigger and better - simple as that. DVO Suspension's goal was to create a confidence-inspiring trail fork that could provide control and stability in rough conditions.
The fork features a chassis that utilizes 34mm stanchions to keep up with today’s demanding riding standards. Despite the larger stanchions, the weight has increased slightly. A slightly modified air spring provides an extremely supple beginning stroke, improved mid-stroke support and a progressive end for control on the big hits. Combined with the proven damping features and characteristics of the Diamond, this is the standard.

D1 is DVO's premium line of suspension forks. Hand built with all the features and performance you have grown to expect from DVO. The D1 system is based off the proven diamond damping design featuring a compression bladder and full shim stack controlled dynamic damping. Five points of external adjustment give you access to over 30 clicks of High Speed Compression, 6 clicks of Low Speed Compression, external OTT "Off the Top" adjustments, AVA "Advanced Volume Adjust", Dynamic Rebound and air pressure release valves at the casting.

Dynamic Control - High/Low Speed Compression & Dynamic Rebound
Six clicks of low speed compression for quick on the fly adjustments. Over 30 clicks of high speed adjustment give you ultimate adjustability for big impacts and control.
14 clicks of shim stack controlled rebound that is 100% dynamic. Meaning, the rebound is controlled based on the speed at which oil flows through the system. The fork will react to what you throw at it and be ready for what is next.

Quick Range Low Speed Compression
With a quick turn of the knob, the low speed circuit is restricted providing a nice platform for climbing.

Compression Bladder
At the heart of the damper is the DVO compression bladder. An industry exclusive feature that surrounds a bladder with a large volume of oil and compresses it throughout the entire stroke. This provides unrivaled small bump sensitivity, durability, and damping consistency for long rides in rough conditions.

AVA - Advanced Volume Adjust
A nice feature taking volume tuning to the next level. Use volume spacers to change the depth of the air piston, effectively reducing or increasing the air volume. Perfectly tune the amount of overall progression you desire.
With the addition of the AVA system and DVO's exclusive OTT adjustment, you now have complete control over the beginning, mid and end stroke.

OTT - Off the Top
Is wanting incredible small bump sensitivity and great mid/end stroke too much to ask? Not if you ride DVO. The industry exclusive OTT feature really sets DVO products apart from anything else. It allows you to perfectly fine tune how the initial stroke feels without any mid/end stroke compromise.
