DT Swiss FR 1950 Classic 29" Wheelset - 6-Bolt - 15x110mm / 20x110mm Boost | 12x150mm - black

If you drive with 60 things in a steep wall curve, you have to trust the material. On the revised FR 1950 CLASSIC wheelset you can rely in any situation. Its 30 mm jaw width offer your downhill tires an unprecedented lateral support for an even higher cornering speed. Due to the larger air volume you can down with the pressure in your tires and get traction where there was none before. The rim design, the lightweight 240s hubs and DT Competition spokes proved their durability in the bikes of Danny Hart and Loic Bruni on the toughest downhill tracks in the world. Whether against the clock or just for fun, the FR 1950 wheels are for all bikers who like to leave the brakes open.

Front wheel for 15x110mm and 20x110mm Boost thru axle dropouts (adapters included) and rear wheel for 12x150mm thru axle dropouts.

Even wider tires, tubeless ready setup and impressive stability are perfect conditions for freeride, enduro and downhill trails. This makes the FR 1950 Classic 27.5 inch wheelset the ideal base for your Gravity mountain bike adventures.

CLASSIC technology:

In the CLASSIC family, only proven DT Swiss components are used: precision of the hubs, spokes, nipples and rims set standards in the bicycle industry.
The conventional design of CLASSIC wheels means very good availability and easy installation of spare parts in case of damage, even in more remote corners of the earth.
CLASSIC wheels use rims optimized specifically for the application, with the aluminum versions tubeless compatible.

Hub Technology: DT Swiss hubs rightly enjoy a legendary reputation. Several unique features have contributed to this: the Ratchet System® freewheel technology is extremely durable, reliable and can be serviced within minutes without tools thanks to the plugged design of the hubs. Thanks to the same plug-in system, all hubs can be converted to almost any axle standard and thus fit on any bike. The non-contact sealing system and the high-precision assembly guarantee the best running properties, so that the energy of the FahrerIn is converted exclusively into propulsion. The consistent weight optimization highlights the racing genes of this classic.

Proven freewheel technology
The patented DT Swiss Ratchet System® is known for its reliability and ensures an even faster transmission of the drive forces as standard with 36-toothing with a reduced ratchet angle / engagement angle of 10 °. It always engages all 36 teeth and distributes the load evenly.

Boost
Boost compatible hubs have an increased flange distance. This brings weighty advantages: thanks to the flatter spoke angle and improved symmetry, much stiffer wheels can be built. This is helpful everywhere, but particularly advantageous for large wheels in demanding use.

The maximum system weight is 140 kg
