The MTN Trainer 2 Leather was designed in Montebelluna, a small town in the foothills of the Dolomites that is the birthplace of alpine footwear craftsmanship. It is a robust and versatile shoe for technical approaches with a low shaft. It is characterized by a suede upper and a Vibram outsole designed for intensive use. Its durable upper features a protective rubber rand for 360° abrasion resistance on rocky terrain and a high-quality, supple, full-grain leather lining that absorbs moisture well.
The improved last construction guarantees a comfortable and more flexible fit. The PU midsole provides long-lasting shock absorption and rebound. The multifunctional Vibram Mtn Trainer Evo outsole offers stability and agility and its deep, self-cleaning grooves and aggressive lugs guarantee ideal grip on rocks and scree as well as optimal traction on mud and grass. A special via ferrata profile under the midfoot in front of the heel features precise, right-angled lugs for better grip on ladder rungs.
The characteristic 3F system connects the instep area with the sole and heel, guaranteeing flexibility, a proper fit and a firm hold. The climbing shoe lacing system can be precisely adjusted in the toe area for greater precision when climbing and the shoe is equipped with a protective, elastic gaiter under the laces to protect against rain and water. A cushioned OrthoLite footbed wicks away moisture and, in combination with the leather lining, helps to keep your feet cool. The MTN Trainer 2L is a comfortable alpine approach solution for technical hikes, via ferratas and trekking tours - especially in warm weather.
