Castelli Nano Flex Pro Race Bibshort Men - black 010

You could call it a convergence product. A few years ago, we developed the first Omloop thermal shorts, inspired by professional racers who cut off their knee rings right at the bend of the knee on a sunny morning at the classic 'Omloop Het Nieuwsblad'.

We set about developing a bib short cut to the bend of the knee and realized that we could do without leg grippers - and that the extra 10 centimetres of fabric generated a lot of warmth. These first Omloop shorts were made for cool, dry conditions, like the race that inspired them, with our Thermoflex fabric.

Let's make the leap in time to the present: the new, 3rd generation of our Nano Flex fabric is as soft, stretchy, breathable and warm as our Thermoflex fabric, so we can now ideally design this short for cool and dry conditions - but it's great on wet days too.

Nano Flex 3G fabric is water repellent, stretchy and warm thanks to the luxuriously soft brushed interior
reduced seams for comfort and to prevent water ingress on wet rides
knee-length cut for extra warmth that doesn't require an elastic grip piece
mesh straps don't add warmth to the upper body so you can dress for the conditions
seamless Progetto X2 Air seat pad for long hours in the saddle
