Shimano disc brake at Alivio level consisting of BL-MT402-3A brake lever and BR-MT420 caliper. The result of the combination is a solid brake performance in any condition. Trouble-free maintenance is provided by the proven One Way Bleeding concept and the Easy Hose Joint System which simplifies brake hose exchanges.

J-Kit (Easy Hose Joint System)

At brake systems with J-Kit hose joint the brake lever features an integrated olive what makes an easy brake hose installation and removal possible.

Shimano BL-MT402-3A brake lever

The Shimano BL-MT402 brake lever is suitable for a wide range of bikes with flat handlebars. With its ergonomic 3-finger design, it is not only comfortable and suitable for long Trekking tours, it also allows different grip positions and can be easily combined with a corresponding shift lever. The slim master cylinder not only ensures a tidy cockpit, in terms of deceleration it also offers optimized braking performance and well-tuned modulation.

Shimano BR-MT420 disc brake caliper

The hydraulic Shimano BR-MT420 disc brake caliper features a 4-piston construction but is nevertheless characterized by a slim design. The 4 resin pistons offer 20 % more braking power than the 2-piston version and guarantee reliable deceleration and control on Downhill tracks. Even the wear resistance could be improved by 150 % compared to the BR-MT400 caliper. Postmount compatible.
